Well, just on tuesday morning when i finished eating breakfast, i was told to go and do my student ID so i went to the bookstore and queue up for it... then, my mother came and told me that they were calling my name.. so i went and saw four other students standing there and a teacher was instructing them on what to do... and i was told that I GOT INTO ACADEMIC CLASSES! And that means that i've gotten 85 and above... i was like wow... and quite happy... haha... BUT, we have to take the compass test immediately... so five of us went up and paid 11.25 dollars for it and headed straight to the test centre...
When we reach there, i was like wow again..haha... because their test is conducted in a computer room... And they don't use computers but laptops as tseting machine... haha...
We were tested on reading which we were given 3 or 4 short passages and we had to answer the questions... that was really hard... i think it's a little bit harder than our school paper(YTSS)... Then we were tested on writing where we had to correct the sentences of the 3 passages... so it was sort of editing... it was ok... THEN, the maths test came up and i was like i haven't been touching math for like 4-5 months and out of the sudden you are testing me on that?? I totally lost confidence and screwed up... the math test was like from the easiest questions to the hardest... and if you got one question wrong, you couldn't take the test anymore because the com will say STOP! haha... and yeah, i screwed up one simple question and had to stop...
The results were given immediately after you stopped because the main system will get the score and print it out immediately... and my score for math was low...T_T... so i went down as told by the instructors after i got out of the com room and saw the advisors who were all teachers... i knew one advisor from Singapore because my mother found him and introduced him to me... he is very nice and explained all the things to me... So i had to retake my math test since the other level is so easy... so i quickly went to practice the sample paper for another half an hour and took my lunch and went for the test... there is one question on data which i think i have never learned that before... the standard was like paper one of o levels... so it was still ok... the paper was written so the taecher marked it in front of us... i'm surprised that all the other students did not pass it(i passed it)... maybe it's because the passing mark is 80%.(i got 90%..hehe..)
On the next day, i went for the compass test again and i went to the next level of english test! :) Then i went to register for my classes... alot of them were full, or the timing is not good...(like i have the reading class from 7-9.30pm)...haiz... i'm still on waiting list for math and philosophy...haiz...but nevermind... there is still a chance.. haha...
i've written alot! Hope you guys don't find it boring... haha... :)
My dreams will blossom...
